Career development is an active, lifelong process and you will likely make many career decisions and changes throughout your life. Taking control of your career development includes building your personal brand, assessing your goals and developing a plan to get you where you want to be. Education, networking and gaining experience in the workforce are key elements to ensure you are successfully working toward your goals.

Career Planning:

Unsure of what you want your career to be or how to make a career change? I will support you as you explore your interests, preferences, values, strengths and how they align with various career options. Once we have identified your new career path or transition, we work together to create and implement an action plan.

Education Advising:

Navigating the world of post-secondary can be daunting. I work with you to understand how to research programs that fit with your career goals. We can also review program admission requirements, tips to help increase your chance of being accepted and navigate the application process including applying online, editing admission essays / supplemental materials, preparing for admissions interviews (such as MMI for medical programs).

We work together to develop compelling content and understand how to target your resume and cover letter to the posting. I support you with reviewing your resume, cover letter and how to target job postings that you find most compelling.

Interview Skills:

The interview is your chance to shine and demonstrate your strengths, skills, confidence and overall fit with the role and organization. I assist you with creating an interview strategy that prepares you for various interviews styles and questions. Through a mock interview process, we'll review the competencies employers are looking for and you will receive feedback on your engagement, answers and body language with tips for developing strong stories that demonstrate the depth of your abilities.

LinkedIn / Networking:

Sharing your professional story on LinkedIn is often a must in our global, connected world. I support you with insights and strategies to create a new profile or improve your existing one. You will learn the importance of LinkedIn, networking and how to leverage LinkedIn for job search.
